What makes Avocado good for health and beauty?

It is the main ingredient in guacamole! These days, the avocado has become an incredibly popular food among health conscious individuals. Its often referred to as a super food, which is not surprising given its health properties.

So what exactly is it that makes this tasty fruit great for both health and beauty?

Increased energy levels.
Avocado is rich in B vitamins which are essential for energy production and control the stress response in the body, helping to support stress-related tiredness. Avocados are higher in protein than any other fruit, which makes them a great source of energy. The healthy fats in avocados have been shown to promote optimal blood fat levels and enhance the absorption of nutrients. Additionally, the fiber in avocados accounts for 80% of their carbohydrate content, which can help maintain steady energy levels.

Relieves inflammation from psoriasis and eczema
The antioxidants and vitamins in avocado oil may help to heal the dry, irritated, and flaky skin associated with eczema and psoriasis.

Can promote collagen production
When avocado oil is used in skincare and applied to the skin, it can trigger the skin to produce collagen, the main structural protein found in skin and other connective tissues. This keeps the skin firm, plump and smooth whilst fighting the signs of fine lines and wrinkles.

Help aid weight management
Those who eat avocados tend to have healthier diets, a lower risk of metabolic syndrome and a lower body weight. They can help your body to burn more calories after eating. They can reduce appetite and decrease the desire to eat after a meal.

Their fat content may help you absorb nutrients from plant foods
When it comes to nutrients, your intake is not the only thing that matters. You also need to be able to absorb these nutrients — move them from your digestive tract and to your body, where they can be used. Some nutrients are fat-soluble, meaning that they need to be combined with fat in order to be utilized. So, not only is avocado highly nutritious, it can dramatically increase the nutrient value of other plant foods that you are eating.
